Highfields Lions
Although the Lions have yet to claim a senior grade premiership neither have they endured the ignominy of finishing last. When the AFL Darling Downs competition was initially split into two divisions in 2014 and 2015 Highfields contested the Division Two finals both years. In 2016 they came ninth in the eleven team single division competition which ran that year. The 2017 season saw the restoration of the two division format with the Lions lining up in Division Two and finishing third out of five clubs. Then, in 2018 they came eighth of ten clubs on a restored single division premiership table.
