Western Eagles

It would probably be fair to remark that, in the twenty-two seasons since their formation, the Eagles have yet to do themselves justice. Recent performances have been a case in point, with the exception of a remarkable 2013 season which produced their first, and so far only, finals campaign. Fourth at the end of the home and away rounds the Eagles, perhaps unsurprisingly, appear to have frozen in their elimination final clash with South Colac which saw them go down by 64 points.

In the four seasons since this high spot the Eagles have reverted to form, finishing third from last in 2014, and losing every match contested in 2015, 2016 and 2017 to slump, inevitably, to three successive wooden spoons.
