Wycheproof Narraport
The merger of Wycheproof and Narraport in 1964 yielded instantaneous results as the club went on to take out that season’s premiership. Twelve months later, a second flag followed. Since then, the Demons have repeatedly affirmed their dominance of the competition, and their overall tally of eighteen senior grade flags is a league record. Included in that total are three premiership hat-tricks.
It has not all been plain sailing, however, and after winning the 2000 premiership the Demons went a decade without enjoying senior grade grand final success. They finally made the breakthrough in 2010 when they accounted for Boort in the grand final by 44 points, 13.9 (87) to 6.7 (43). They again made the grand final a year later but lost to Wedderburn by 9 points. After several seasons of mediocrity the Demons returned to grand final action in 2016 only to lose by 7 points to Charlton. A year later they made amends with a come from behind 9.7 (61) to 7.9 (51) grand final defeat of Birchip Watchem before going back to back in 2018 when they again accounted for Birchip Watchem on grand final day, this time somewhat more comfortably with scores of 8.8 (56) to 2.10 (22).
Prior to their merger Wycheproof had claimed a total of nine senior grade premierships while Narraport had been successful on ten occasions.
