At Prospect Oval, the nightmare was about to return for the Bloods faithful at the hands of the Roosters.
A fairy-tale win last week against the Magpies was not going to erase this day, although starting off only three points behind at quarter time, the visitors blitzed away and never looked back. The Bloods wouldn't get another goal until the final term, but North booted seven goals in the second quarter to be in front by 55 points at the half-time break. The pain continued when the match resumed, the Roosters becoming a mob of vultures smelling wolf-meat. In the third term, the Roosters romped off to an 80 point lead going into the final change. Despite getting two late goals, the Bloods could only watch as the Roosters piled on 8.7 to run out big winners to the tune of 119 points.
Luke Ivens was best for North, and despite WAFC coach Wayne Weidemann's comments after the game Marc Dragicevic was best for the Bloods.
