Pacy and direct, Vic Nankervis was a handy rover with a keen eye for goal, well evidenced by his club list-topping tally of 43 goals in 1945. He spent most of his league career with the Cats, playing 33 games and scoring 57 goals in 1941 and 1944-5. He also had brief stints at Footscray (two games, three goals in 1942), St Kilda (seven games, six goals, 1943) and South Melbourne (four games, two goals, 1946).
