North Haven

Originally known as Port Adelaide Presbyterian the undoubted highlight of the club’s existence to date was its feat in claiming seven successive United Churches Football Association premierships between 1969 and 1974. After a seventeen season stint in the UCFA the club crossed to the Adelaide and Suburban Football League in 1978, and two years later the club joined the amateurs. The Magpies’ first few seasons in the SAAFL were successful, with three premierships coming their way in five seasons, two in A4 Grade (nowadays known as Division Four) and one in A3 Grade. In 1990 the club was re-named North Haven.

In recent times the Magpies have alternated quite frequently between Division Four and Division Five. The qualified for a in Division Five grand final in 2014. Opposed by Westminster Old Scholars they went down by 51 points. Following that they competed in Division Four, finishing third after heading the ladder going into the finals in 2015, and third again a year later. Then, in 2017 they swept to a highly meritorious premiership, topping the ladder with a 17-1 record before emphatically accounting for Eastern Park in the second semi final by 58 points and Morphettville Park on grand final day by 61 points. Promoted as a result of this the Magpies but in a solid 2018 campaign in Division Three, qualifying for the finals and ultimately finishing third.
