Originally from Tasmanian club Preston George Lucas played 48 VFL games and scored six goals for St Kilda from 1924 to 1928. In 1929 he was appointed captain-coach of Prahran for whom he went on to make 60 VFA appearances and kick 11 goals over four seasons.
