After commencing his senior football career at Camberwell, where he played 34 games and kicked one goal from 1930 to 1933, Len Wallace joined Essendon in 1934 and proved himself a highly effective utility, as well as the consummate team man. In five seasons with the Dons he played 61 VFL games and scored seven goals.
