Morphettville Park WFC
In recent seasons Morphettville Park has stamped itself as the pre-eminent force in the top division of the South Australian Women's Football League and its successor competition the Adelaide Footy League. In 2013 the 'Roos reached the grand final, only to lose by a goal to Greenacres, but they went on to put the disappointment behind them in the best and most emphatic way imaginable by claiming the next three premierships in succession. All three flags were obtained at the expense of West Adelaide by margins of 13 points in 2014, 30 points in 2015 and 40 points in 2016. In addition, Morphettville Park's reserves team was a consistently strong competitor in Division Two. The 2017 season brought a slight slump in fortunes but the seniors still made the finals, ultimately being placed fourth. Moreover, the SAWFL's expansion to five divisions was assisted by Morphettville Park fielding a third team in Division Four. In 2018 the seniors again played finals football, getting as far as a losing Division One preliminary final against eventual premiers Salisbury.
Originally known as Sturt, the club won a premiership in its debut season of 2004 after it overcame raging hot favourites the Eagles in the grand final. The 2007 brought relocation to Morphettville Park and with it a name change to reflect this.
