Since resuming in Premier in 2014 Old Trinity have acquitted themselves well and in both 2015 and 2016 they came close to acquiring that elusive first top tier flag. In the former year they went down in the grand final to St Bernard's by just 8 points, while in 2016 they also reached the grand final, only to lose by a mere 7 points to Ol,d Xaverians. Sadly, it did not prove to be a case of third time lucky as in 2017 the Milk Men tumbled down the list to seventh after managing just half a dozen wins for the year.
