Palmerston Rats

The Rats were the Top End Football Association’s joint most successful club, claiming a total of nine senior grade flags, the same as Banks. They now compete in the Northern Territory Football League's Division Two competition in which they claimed a premiership at the conclusion of the 2012/13 season. Opposed in the grand final by a Jabiru side which was favoured to win the Rats proved comfortably superior, winning in the end by 47 points, 12.11 (83) to 5.6 (36). Since then they have finished fifth (2013/14), eleventh of twelve (2014/15), tenth and last (2015/16), eighth of ten (2016/17), seventh of ten (2017/18) and sixth of ten (2018/19).
