Bruthen

Since commencing in the Omeo District Football League the Bulldogs have enjoyed a fine record, claiming a senior grade flag in only their second season and going on to add another half a dozen over the ensuing four decades. Since the turn of the century the seniors have contested half a dozen grand finals, downing Swan Reach by 15 points in 2003 having lost to the same opponent in 1999, succumbing by 21 points to Swifts Creek in 2008 and by 56 points to the same opposition two years later, overcoming Lindenow South by 19 points in 2017 and defeating Swifts Creek by 26 points to go back to back in 2018. The 2019 season brought a third straight premiership as the Bulldogs accounted for the grand final challenge of Omeo-Benambra by 13 points, 10.12 (72) to 8.11 (59).

The ODFL’s only grade other than seniors is the under 16s in which the Bulldogs contested both the 2006 and 2007 grand finals, emerging triumphant from the former. The 2019 season brought another grand final appearance, but opponents Lindenow South proved too strong.
