Lake Boga

In 1892 - the same year that Lake Boga was declared a township - the Lake Boga Football Club was formed. Located fourteen kilometres south of Swan Hill, Lake Boga Football Netball Club has competed in the Central Murray Football League since 1997, claiming its only senior grade flag to date in 2003. Prior to commencing in the CMFL the Magpies had won premierships in 1899, 1905, 1906, 1916, 1923, 1927, 1940, 1951, 1953, 1954, 1967 and 1975 in a variety of different competitions.

Recent seasons have seen the Magpies tending to struggle, finishing in the bottom two on the ladder in 2013-14-15 before recovering somewhat to narrowly fail to qualify for the finals in 2016 after winning 8 of their 16 matches for the year. After that, the 2017 season proved to be something of a disappointment as the 'Pies only managed a couple of wins all year to finish just one place off the bottom of the ladder, a result that was repeated the following year.
