The Mavericks were formed following the merger of Moora's two former clubs, Warriors and Rovers. So far they have not really imposed themselves on the Central Midlands Coastal Football League competition and in 2016 they finished a distant last with a 0-12 record. The 2017 season brought a measure of improvement as the team qualified for the finals in fourth place which was where they ultimately finished following a 9 point loss to Lancelin Ledge Point in the first semi final. A year later they slumped to the wooden spoon after managing just 3 wins from 14 home and away matches.
