Rumbalara

Rumbalara is an indigenous Australian club which has enjoyed considerable success in its brief history. Between 1998 and 2004 the senior grade side qualified for five grand finals in two different competitions and won three of them. In 2004 it drew the grand final but lost the replay by a goal.

After commencing in the Murray Football League in 2006 Rumba initially found the going somewhat tougher. They made the finals for the first time in 2011 but bowed out at the first hurdle. The following year they managed just a couple of wins and slumped to second from last. After that, however, improvement was marked, and in 2014 they claimed their first senior grade MuFL premiership after downing Finley in the grand final. Subsequent finals campaigns in 2015 and 2016 were unsuccessful. The 2017 season saw them drop down the list to seventh before recovering somewhat in 2018 when they came fourth.
