Saints

Saints have contested all but three of the eighteen Newman National Football League grand finals played since 2001. On nine occasions they claimed the premiership, including the last five in succession. In 2014 they defeated Centrals in the grand final by 12 points; the following year saw them account for Tigers on grand final day by 47 points; in 2016 they again disposed of the challenge of Centrals, this time by a margin of 52 points; the 2017 season saw them overcoming Pioneers in the decisive match of the year with scores of 11.9 (75) to 7.5 (47); finally, in 2018 they upset the form book by downing minor premiers Tigers in the grand final by 17 points, 10.6 (66) to 7.7 (49).
