Warrack Eagles
The Eagles boast a fine pedigree having been born of the union of two successful clubs of long standing in the shape of Warracknabeal and Brim. Warracknabeal had been a member of the Wimmera Football League for many years, claiming the first of its eventual total of eight senior grade premierships in 1921 and the last in 1994. Brim meanwhile won flags in the Mallee Football Association in 1914, 1920 and 1921, the Brim Buelah Football Association in 1928, and the Southern Mallee Football Association in 1932, 1948, 1951 and 1952.
Any doubts concerning the wisdom of the merger were soon put to rest as the Eagles captured a senior grade flag in only their second season. There have been no senior grade premierships since, but in this respect Warrack Eagles are far from alone as the over the last fifteen seasons of Wimmera League footy only Horsham Demons (twelve), Horsham Saints (two) and Dimboola (one) have won flags. The Eagles have been regular finals participants, and in 2009, 2011 and 2012 they were losing grand finalists against Horsham Demons. More recently they finished fourth in 2013, third in 2014, last with an ignominious 0-16 record in 2015, fifth in 2016, third in 2017 and fifth again in 2018.
