In what could have been the Match of the Round, Sunday arvo down at Alberton Oval saw the Magpies, with new coach Matthew Knights, host reigning premier Central District in an entertaining contest in front of a pretty enthusiastic crowd. The lead changed all day until the Doggies managed to pull away from the persistent Port side, winning by 11 points.
