In the last game of Round 18, the Roosters hosted the Bloods in another slippery encounter at a boggy Prospect. 

North lead early for a first quarter lead of nine points, the visiting Westies shortening that lead to eight points at the long break. When play resumed, the Roosters, although inaccurate themselves, did not allow the Bloods to get any closer with a 6.11 to 1.3 second half. Ladhams was named best and White best at goal with 5.2, as North slogged out a 42 point win.
