Down at the Bay, the Eagles started off their season against the Tigers, who came off a sensational win last weekend against the Bloods. 

The home side seized the first term lead of five points, but could not follow it up in the second quarter as the Eagles stormed ahead to a lead of 29 points, kicking 9.1 to Glenelg's 5.3. The visitors kept up their scoring run, kicking another seven goals to the home team's four goals to be up by 38 points at the end of the third quarter. The final stanza saw the Tigers make one last desperate run at the Eagles, but it was too little too late as the Eagles still won by 27 points. 

Stokes was named best for the visitors and Passador was best in front of goal with his five big ones.
