Over at Prospect Oval, the Roosters hosted the Bloods. The Roosters made a meal of the visitors, who didn't get a goal until the third term.
North progressively extended their lead quarter by quarter, 21 points to one at quarter time and at the end of the half, they were up by 32 points. The punishment kept on coming as the Roosters booted a further 5.3 to 3.6, Wiggins saving the Bloods some embarrasment as he slotted the Bloods' opening goal with a free kick. The last quarter was relatively slow for both teams, the Roosters adding 3.2 to West's 3.5. North Adelaide winners by 41 points in an afternoon Westies supporters will not soon forget and neither will Shaun Rehn.
