At Noarlunga Oval, the Panthers played host to the lowly Redlegs. The South boys were still on cloud nine after their massive upset over the Dogs last weekend and were determined to continue their rampage.
The home side quickly asserted their authority on the game, kicking 6.4 to 2.4 to take the first quarter lead. They blew it out in the second quarter, adding a further 11 goals to one to be up by 87 points at the long break. The Panthers must have expended a lot of energy in that quarter, only booting 2.3 to the visitors 4.7 in the third term. South finished the Redlegs off in the last quarter, running out winners by 63 points, South's Ben Warren bagged seven goals. They should have won by more, the Panthers were outscored in the second half 6.4 to 9.10.
