Neutral territory at Adelaide Oval saw the Tigers play host to the Double Blues.
The first half was almost equal, the two sides having a bit of a shootout with the Blues riding shotgun. They led by four points at quarter time and at the long break by five points, inaccuracy the only thing giving the Bays any hope at all. Sturt started their breakaway run in the third quarter, a 5.2 to 3.3 scoreline seeing them in front by 16 points. Glenelg couldn't find the goals in the last quarter, as the Blues laid on another 9.4 to 1.5 to win by 63 points. Michael Coad efforts bagged him five goals
