At Prospect Oval, the ABC Match of the Round attracted the largest crowd of the round when the Roosters met up with fellow northerners in the Bulldogs.
The first quarter was not loaded with goals, Centrals getting the only goal of the term and both teams scoring one behind each to see the Dogs up by six points at quarter time. In the second quarter, North finally got onto the scoreboard and took over the lead after kicking 4.3 to 2.2. At the half time break, North were up by seven points. But after the first five minutes of the third quarter, the Roosters lost it. After losing Shannon Motlop to an ankle injury, the Dogs ran off the leash and kicked 7.2 to North's 3.1 to be 18 points up at three quarter time. From here, the Dogs just completely dominated proceedings and had yet another big final term. Ian Callinan put on a show in the last quarter, his goals among six sent home by the Dogs while North managed three. Centrals keeping their undefeated streak after a 35 point win.
Brad Symes must be pushing for Power selection after his efforts to be named best by Centrals, while Dean Howard was voted as best afield for North.
