At Broadspectrum Oval in Richmond, the Double Blues faced off against the lowly Bloods.
The Blues would dominate proceedings from the get-go, kicking 5.1 to West's 1.3 to be up by 22 points at quarter time. That was followed up by a further 4.3 for the visitors to Westies lousy single goal. At the long break the Blues were up by 43 points. The Blues returned to the field a little different to what came out to play earlier in the day, only managing 3.4 to West's 1.5 to begin the second half, at the end of the third quarter the Blues lead was out to 54 points. You have to admire the decision of Wayne Weidemann to stick with the Bloods until the end of the season, with an injury ravaged team on the bottom of the ladder. Shockingly, the Bloods would make an awesome run at the Blues in the final term. The visitors scored just two goals and still won, but the Bloods' 7.4 would put a scare through the Sturt camp that left with a 20 point win.
Jade Sheedy's 150th match saw him collect best on ground votes, Ben Nelson was also on game 150 this day. West Adelaide named Jason Porplyzia as their best.
