Match Report

Last weekend, the Tigers copped a bite on the backside down south. This weekend was their opportunity to turn that around at Challenge Recruitment Oval, but the Eagles were also stung last week by a narrow loss to North.

It was an equal first term on the scoreboard, both teams on 20 points a piece at the first change. The Tigers would then break away from the Eagles in the second quarter, kicking 5.5 to the Eagles' 3.1 to be in front by 16 points at half time. The Eagles were pretty much left in the dust after the break, the Tigers seized control from here onwards and booted 6.5 in the third quarter to the Eagles' 3.2 to be ahead by 31 points at the last change. Eagle coach Ron Fuller was left with much to think about after this game, the Tigers sending them packing to the tune of seven goals after kicking 5.4 to 4.5 in the final term.

Matthew Bode was voted best for the Tigers, while Leigh Treeby was best afield for the visitors.
