In the final match of Round 7, the ABC cameras headed down to Gliderol Stadium in Glenelg as the Tigers hosted the Roosters. North havent defeated the Tigers since Round 20 of 2006, the Bays taking out the last five encounters.
This match was definitely the best choice for the TV match, it turned out to be an absolute cracker -- aside from a verbal gaffe from Tiger Todd Grima -- starting off with the Roosters taking a three point lead at quarter-time after kicking 4.2 to 3.5. It was more of a desperate scramble in the second term in regards to scoring, the Tigers inaccuracy the only thing seeing them into the lead as they kicked 2.5 to North's 1.1 to lead by seven points at half-time. Things picked up a little in the third quarter as the teams went goal for goal, the Tigers' lead was taken down to one goal to set up a thrilling final term. It would be the Tigers that would prevail in the end, edging out their old Grand Final rival by five points after another quarter that saw missed shots making up the difference.
Trevor Cranston was voted best for Glenelg, while the Roosters named captain Damon White as their best afield.
