In the last match of Round 11, Gliderol Stadium at the Bay was the scene for the clash between the Tigers and the Bloods. The Bloods have shown some considerable fight the past month and a bit, falling short on a couple of occasions while the Tigers haven't missed a beat since Anzac Day.
The top of the ladder was in sight for the Bays, but things didn't go their way early on as Westies kicked 4.5 to 1.2 to begin the afternoon's proceedings. But as expected, the Bloods couldn't keep up that intensity as they were held scoreless in the second term while the Tigers kicked 6.6 to take a lead of 21 points at half-time. The Bloods woke up in the third quarter to some extent, but only managed to trim the margin back two points after kicking 3.3 to Glenelg's 3.1 to give themselves a sniff. But the scent would be lost pretty quickly as the Tigers had a brilliant final term, landing home 6.3 to West's two goals to take a 46 point win ahead of their much anticipated match against Sturt on Friday night at the Adelaide Oval.
Luke Panozzo was voted best afield for the Tigers, while the Bloods named Tom Langford as their man of the match.
