We head to the inner suburbs, pick up the ABC cameras and head over to Coopers Stadium where things are never neighbourly between the Redlegs and the Roosters. Norwood launched a raid at Menzies Crescent back in Round 8 and took a 25-point win, while North won the three previous outings.
The Redlegs came to Prospect on a mission of devastation this day, as they began the afternoon's proceedings with a 6.4 to 1.3 first quarter, a 31-point break at the first change. The Rooster faithful would no doubt have been further demoralised when their men could only muster 2.2 in the second quarter while the Redlegs added a further 4.3. At the long break, the marging was out to 44 points. But the nightmare wasn't over for North Adelaide, when play resumed in the third quarter the visitors' defence allowed no six-pointers for the red and whites who could only manage three behinds as compared to Norwood's 4.3. At three quarter-time, Norwood was holding a 69-point buffer. With their mission complete already, the Redlegs saw fit to relax it a little. They kicked another 2.3, North's 3.2 doing little to spare them from a humiliating 64-point defeat.
Nick Lower was named best for the Redlegs, while James Allan was named best for North.
