Frank Hince was an exceptional full back renowned for his surging gallops out of defence. He was a fine kick, with his place kicking in particular attracting praise. His VFL career comprised 17 games with Fitzroy in 1901-2 followed by 36 games and his one and only league goal with Carlton from 1903 to 1906.
