Harry Toole joined Carlton from Carlton Juniors in 1921 and over the course of the next five seasons proved a serviceable acquisition. Mostly deployed as a ruckman, he played a total of 59 VFL games for the Blues and registered 21 goals. After leaving Carlton he was appointed captain-coach of Albury Football Club.
