Restricted by persistent injury woes to just one senior appearance for Brisbane, in 1991, Jason Millar fared somewhat better after joining Norwood in 1994. Of formidable build, he could play in the ruck or any key position. His six season stint with the Redlegs saw him play 71 SANFL games and score 18 goals. He also played once for South Australia. In 1996 he was named in the Advertiser Team of the Year. He was not selected for Norwood’s ultimately successful 1997 grand final clash with Port Adelaide, but he did help the reserves to flag success the following year.
