ack Kidd was a notable sporting all rounder who, in addition to carving out a football career in the VFL, represented Victoria at cricket. As a footballer he was exceptionally strong overhead, and highly dependable, playing for the most part either on a half back flank or at centre half back. He spent the bulk of his career at Essendon, where he played 43 games and scored 12 goals between 1926 and 1930. After leaving the Dons he played a couple of games for Carlton in 1931 and one for Fitzroy in 1933 before playing 39 games and kicking eight goals in the VFA with Oakleigh from 1933 to 1936.
