Jack O’Rourke was a handy player who gave solid service to two league clubs. From Kooweerup, he was an ideal build for a small forward at 175cm and 70kg, and he boasted a keen appetite for hitting the scoreboard. His VFL career comprised 29 games and 21 goals for St Kilda from 1920 to 1924 followed by a somewhat more productive stint at Fitzroy, which yielded 34 appearances and 41 goals between 1925 and 1927.
