South Broken Hill WFC

After a somewhat slow start the Kangaroos have emerged as the team to beat in the Broken Hill women's competition. In 2015 they reached their first grand final, but lost by 20 points to Central. A year later they made amends with a 3.2 (20) to 2.1 (13) grand final triumph over their previous season's conquerors and in 2017 they made it two flags in succession when they accounted for the grand final challenge of North by 16 points, 4.5 (29) to 1.7 (13). This second success came as the culmination of a highly memorable season which saw the 'Roos lose only once in 16 starts. The following season brought another grand final appearance but Central proved to have the 'Roos' measure on this occasion and emerged victorious by 13 points.
