From Wonthaggi East Football Club, Bill Dalkin was a dependable ruckman and defender who gave solid service to two league teams. In 1944-5 he played 30 VFL games and scored 10 goals for Collingwood, following which he made 38 appearances and registered 10 goals for Fitzroy between 1945 and 1949.
