A half back flanker and centreman, Fred Cook was a highly reliable performer for Richmond in 81 VFL games from 1944 to 1949, scoring 12 goals. He played in the centre in the Tigers’ 1944 grand final loss to Fitzroy. His identical twin brother Keith also played for Richmond and the pair both debuted in the opening round of the 1944 season.
