Recruited by Geelong from local side East Geelong, Jack Walsh played 31 VFL games for the club and kicked seven goals in 1909 and 1911-12. A handy and reliable follower, he crossed to Melbourne in 1913 and went on to make 18 appearances and score seven goals for the club during that season and the early part of the next, when he transferred to St Kilda. His stint at the Saints was brief, and he retired after adding just five games and three goals to his respective career tallies.
