Ken Jones was a reliable backman who served Fitzroy well in 55 VFL games between 1957 and 1961, during which he kicked two goals. In 1960 he represented the Victorian number two side in a famous match against Tasmania which resulted in a humiliating defeat for the Big V. He later played for Montmorency and Diamond Creek in the Diamond Valley Football League, and won competition best and fairest awards with both clubs.
