Richmond recruited Kevin Dillon from University Blacks and he developed in to a stylish, reliable, highly consistent defender, deployed most commonly on a half back flank. He played for all of his career as an amateur. That career comprised 88 VFL games between 1949 and 1955, during which he kicked four goals. He ran second in the Tigers’ 1954 best and fairest count.
