A defender who attacked the ball hard, Nick Stone was an important player for Claremont in 81 games in which he kicked four goals between 1995 and 2002. A premiership player in 1996, he skippered the club in his final season. From 1997 to 2000 his Westar Rules career with Claremont ran parallel with an AFL stint at West Coast, for whom he played 33 games and registered four goals.
