Ossy Parks was a strongly built defender who mostly played across half back. Between 1934 and part of the way through the 1938 season he made 42 appearances and scored 25 goals for Yarraville in the VFA. He was then recruited by North Melbourne for whom he became a key player over the next four and a half seasons, playing 64 games and kicking four goals. He resumed his senior football after the war with VFA side Brunswick, but played just once before retiring.
