Though his career was comparatively short, Peter Bradbury was a highly effective half back flanker with Essendon and then Collingwood between 1983 and 1987. Bradbury played in the Bombers' losing 1983 Grand Final against Hawthorn, and was a member of the side that turned the tables in the Hawks in the 1984 premiership-decider. He fell out of favour late in 1985, however, was dropped, and thus missed out on being part of the group of Essendon players that went 'back-to-back'. After 49 games for the Dons, Bradbury moved to Collingwood in early 1986, adding a further 23 games to his career tally.
