Warren Dean was a polished and skilful key position forward who served Subiaco well in 82 WAFL games from 1982 to 1986 and in 1990. He registered 119 goals. He spent the intervening three year period playing 32 VFL games and kicking 25 goals for Melbourne. He was traded to West Coast in the 1990 pre-season draft but failed to break into the seniors.
A West Australian state of origin representative, the last game in Dean’s initial stint with Subi was their grand final triumph over East Fremantle.
