Older brother of all time great Walter Scott (profiled below), Basil Scott had a much shorter playing career, but it was nevertheless noteworthy. He commenced with Norwood in 1920 and went on to play in premiership-deciding matches in four consecutive seasons, enjoying the thrill of victory in 1922 and 1923. A rover and small forward, when he retired as a player in 1924 he had made 60 senior appearances for the Redlegs and scored 33 goals.
