A product of famous goldfields club Mines Rovers, talented half forward Brendon 'Brem' Bermingham gave good service to Claremont in 49 games in 1936 and 1938-9. He totalled 59 goals. In 1937 and for part of the 1938 season he played back at Mines Rovers. His career highlights included representing Western Australia in a win over South Australia at Subiaco Oval in 1936, and playing in the Monts’ 1939 premiership-winning team.
In 1944, while stationed in Melbourne during his military service, Bermingham played eight games and kicked one goal for St Kilda in the VFL.
