One of the finest Northern Territory footballers of the 1930s, Don Bonson was a dual winner of both the NTFL’s best and fairest award and that of the club he represented for most of his career, Buffaloes. He also spent a season with a club he helped form, known as Wallabies, whom he helped reach the 1935/36 Grand Final, only to go down to Buffaloes. When the AFL Northern Territory Hall of Fame was launched in 2010 Don Bonson was an inaugural inductee.
