A utility and something of a quiet achiever, Tim Pekin was recruited by Fitzroy from Colac Coragulac and made his senior league debut in 1984. Possessed of great stamina he was consistency personified in 107 VFL games for the Lions between 1984 and 1989 during which he kicked 15 goals. He was eventuallyu sacked because Fitzroy needed to trim its list for financial reasons.
Drafted by St Kilda, Pekin continued to perform to a consistently high standard in 112 games, for 37 goals, between 1990 and 1995 making him one of a rare group of players to have made in excess of 100 appearances at two different V/AFL clubs.
