Mulgrave
In 2009 Mulgrave’s seniors did well to qualify for the finals in second place and, after proceeding straight to the grand final on the strength of a 10.16 (76) to 11.6 (72) second semi final defeat of South Croydon, looked well placed to capture their first flag for three decades. However, on grand final day South Croydon turned the tables after another closely fought tussle, emerging triumphant by 9 points, 14.16 (100) to 12.19 (91).
