Tim Darcy was an extremely reliable defender for Geelong in 176 games between 1982 and 1994. Often given the job of blanketing opposition star forwards, he was rarely beaten. Darcy was a member of the Cats' losing Grand Final sides of 1989 and 1992. He spent a final season at Essendon in 1995, taking his league games tally to 190.
